Admission
Admission costs JPY 330 for adults, JPY 270 for senior high-school students and JPY 160 for primary and junior high-school students. Visitors with disabilities receive free admission on presenting their disability certificate. Separate rates apply to groups of 30 or more.
Opening hours
Oyakuen opens daily from 08:30 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:30.

Pond scenery and medicinal plants
Walk around the pond and pavilion, then explore the medicinal-plant garden. Take time for both waterside scenery and plants.
How to get to Oyakuen
Haikara-san takes about 30 minutes from Aizuwakamatsu Station to Oyakuen. Alight directly by the garden entrance. With Akabe, alight at Aizuwakamatsu Shoko Kaigisho-mae and walk about five minutes. The buses use different stops.

Before you visit
Visit early in winter
There is no garden lighting, so visit early in winter. Plan shorter outdoor walks if rain or snow makes walking difficult.

Questions about Oyakuen
Do Haikara-san and Akabe use the same Oyakuen stop?
No. Haikara-san stops at Oyakuen, directly by the entrance. Akabe stops at Aizuwakamatsu Shoko Kaigisho-mae, about five minutes’ walk away.
