Admission costs JPY 330 for adults, JPY 270 for high school pupils and JPY 160 for primary and junior high school pupils. Visitors with disabilities enter free on showing their certificate. Groups of 30 or more have separate rates.

Walk around the pond and pavilion, then explore the medicinal plants. Take time to enjoy both waterside scenery and the garden’s plants.
How to get to Oyakuen Garden
Haikara-san reaches Oyakuen in about 30 minutes from Aizu-Wakamatsu; enter directly from the stop. Akabe uses Aizu-Wakamatsu Shoko Kaigisho-mae, followed by a five-minute walk. Alighting stops differ.

Before you visit
Visit early in winter
The garden has no lighting, so visit early in winter. Shorten outdoor walks when rain/snow makes walking difficult.

Do Haikara-san and Akabe use the same Oyakuen stop?
No. Haikara-san stops at Oyakuen directly by the entrance; Akabe stops at Aizu-Wakamatsu Shoko Kaigisho-mae with a five-minute walk.
