Glover Garden combines historic Western-style houses with Nagasaki harbour views. See buildings with Japanese tiled roofs and follow garden paths and stone walkways through the former foreign settlement from the port-opening era.

Admission
Individual admission is JPY 1,300 for adults and JPY 650 for primary, junior and senior high school students. Rates apply from April 2026.
Opening hours
Standard hours are 08:00–18:00, with last admission at 17:40. On days with different hours, last admission remains 20 minutes before closing.
What to see at Glover Garden
Western-style houses with tiled roofs
The historic Western-style houses have Japanese tiled roofs. Look at how the roof design combines with the buildings' Western forms.
Nagasaki harbour views from the gardens
Walk through gardens between the houses for harbour views. After exploring the buildings, pause to look over the port.
How to get to Glover Garden
Take tram line 5 from Shinchi Chinatown towards Ishibashi and get off at the terminus. Walk about three minutes to Sky Road and use the lifts to reach Gate 2. Cards are not accepted there, so prepare another payment method.

Before you visit
Allow time for slopes and stone paths
Allow one and a half to two hours for the gardens and buildings, including breaks on slopes and stone paths. Sky Road's lifts provide access to Gate 2, but walking remains inside the garden.
