Visitor information
Admission
The return lift fare is JPY 600 for junior high school students and older, or JPY 400 for primary school students. Preschool children are free. Reservations are not accepted; visitors are served in arrival order.
Opening hours
The lift operates 8 am–5 pm from 1 March to 30 November and 9 am–4.30 pm from 1 December to the end of February. Last admission is 20 minutes before services finish.

How to get to Kegon Falls
Take a Tobu bus for Chuzenji Onsen or Yumoto Onsen from JR Nikko or Tobu-Nikko Station. Leave at Chuzenji Onsen, then follow the Kegon Falls signs east for about five minutes to the lift entrance.

Fog can obscure the waterfall, and weather may stop the lift. Temporary operating changes are also possible. Check on-site information and official notices before visiting the lower viewing platform.

Do I need to take the lift to see Kegon Falls?
No. You can also see the waterfall from the ground-level viewing platform. The paid lift takes you to the lower platform; access depends on the day's fog and operating conditions.
