Admission

Round-trip elevator fare: ¥600 for junior high school students and older; ¥400 for elementary school students; free for preschool children. First come, first served without reservations.

Opening hours

The elevator runs 8 a.m.–5 p.m. March 1–November 30; 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. December 1–the end of February. Last admission is 20 minutes before operation ends.

How to get to Kegon Falls · 華厳滝

From JR Nikko or Tobu-Nikko, take a Tobu bus bound for Chuzenji Onsen or Yumoto Onsen. Get off at Chuzenji Onsen and follow Kegon Falls signs east for about five minutes to the elevator entrance.

Fog can obscure the falls, and weather can suspend elevator operation. Temporary changes are also possible; check on-site guidance and official operating notices before heading to the lower platform.
