Visitor information
Admission
Ages 15–64, excluding secondary school students, pay JPY 500; ages 65 and over pay JPY 200. Senior high school students and younger are free until 31 March 2027; senior high school students must bring proof such as a student card. The combined ticket for Korakuen and Okayama Castle keep costs JPY 800.
Opening hours
The garden opens daily from 07:30–18:00 from 20 March to 30 September, with last admission at 17:45. From 1 October to 19 March, it opens 08:00–17:00, with last admission at 16:45. Events may alter opening and closing times.
What to see at Okayama Korakuen Garden
Walk among lawns and water
Take your time walking between lawns and ponds. Okayama Castle is across the river, so you can continue to its keep exhibition after the garden.

How to get to Okayama Korakuen Garden
The walk from Okayama Station takes about 25 minutes. By tram, take a Higashiyama-bound service to Shiroshita, then walk about 10 minutes to Korakuen. The official roughly four-minute tram journey excludes waiting and the walk from the stop.

Can I visit Korakuen and Okayama Castle together?
Yes. They are on opposite sides of the river and can be visited together. If seeing both the garden and castle keep exhibition, check the combined ticket's conditions.
