Compare a Yokohama base with one Hakone night
Stay in Yokohama for separate days at Kamakura's temples and Enoshima. For a Hakone overnight stay, spend two Yokohama nights, then one in Yumoto. The museum is on day three and the mountain departure on day four, so choose a late flight or onward city journey for that final day.

Day 1: Nippon Maru and a Yokohama harbour walk
Choose Nippon Maru and a harbour walk on arrival, then rest in Yokohama. For accommodation near Sakuragicho, start on foot from the station.
- If arriving at Haneda: your terminal → Keikyu Yokohama Station
Board at Haneda Airport Terminal 1·2 Station for Terminals 1 and 2, or Terminal 3 Station for Terminal 3. Choose a direct service stopping at Yokohama. If the search shows a transfer, change towards Yokohama at the indicated station, such as Keikyu Kamata.
- If arriving at Narita: your terminal → JR Yokohama Station
Take a Narita Express service stopping at Yokohama from Narita Airport Station for Terminal 1 or Airport Terminal 2 for Terminals 2 and 3. Add the journey from Terminal 3 to the station separately. Check date-specific routes and reserved seats with JR.

- JR Yokohama Station → JR Sakuragicho Station
Take a Negishi Line service stopping at Sakuragicho. If arriving at Yokohama by Keikyu, follow JR transfer signs. If you already left luggage near Sakuragicho Station, skip this train ride and start the next walk from the station area.
- JR Sakuragicho Station → Nippon Maru entrance
Walk about five minutes from the station to ship admission, as given in official facility guidance. Hotel-to-station travel and train waits are separate.
- Nippon Maru admission desk → Finish the interior visit and leave the ship
A standard ship-only ticket costs JPY 400. Opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm, with last admission at 4.30 pm. It opens on public holiday Mondays and closes the next weekday; check the calendar for hull maintenance and temporary closures. Explore open areas and leave the ship. Skip the interior if arriving late or on a closure day.
- Nippon Maru and Memorial Park → Return towards Sakuragicho Station
For a walk, briefly explore only open waterfront areas, then return towards Sakuragicho. The official roughly five-minute station walk excludes strolling and meals.
- For a Yokohama Station hotel: JR Sakuragicho → JR Yokohama Station
Return on a Negishi Line service stopping at Yokohama. For a Sakuragicho Station hotel, skip the train and eat or rest near that station.
If arriving late or when Nippon Maru is closed, skip the interior for a harbour walk or meal. Check maintenance and temporary closures in the facility calendar.
Day 2: Kamakura Hasedera and Great Buddha
Travel from Yokohama to Kamakura for Hase's two temples. After eating, return from Hase towards Kamakura.

The JPY 50 Great Buddha interior visit is excluded from this subtotal. If access restrictions or queues slow you down, do not rush to fit in both temples.
- Kotoku-in main gate → Around Hase Station
Walk about seven minutes back towards Hase Station. If eating lunch, return to the same station afterwards for your train. Meals and restaurant queues are excluded from walking time.
- Enoden Hase Station → Enoden Kamakura Station

Day 3: via Fujisawa to Enoshima's tower
Give today to Enoshima sea views and an island walk rather than temple worship. Travel from Yokohama via Fujisawa, changing to Enoden. Use the same transfer station on the return.
- JR Yokohama Station → JR Fujisawa → Enoden Fujisawa Station
Take a Tokaido Line service towards Odawara stopping at Fujisawa. Leave the JR gates and follow signs to Enoden Fujisawa. JR fares, transfer time and waits are separate.
- Enoden Fujisawa Station → Enoden Enoshima Station
Take a train towards Kamakura stopping at Enoshima. The ordinary single fare is JPY 220 and the official ride estimate is about nine minutes. Train waits and the walk to the island take extra time.

- Left of the shrine's red torii → Escar → garden and Sea Candle entrance
Before riding Escar, buy the adult daytime combined ticket for the Sea Candle observation tower and all three Escar sections at the first-section counter for JPY 1,100. Ride the three sections left of the shrine's red torii, then enter the garden on the right and continue to Sea Candle. The official Enoshima station-to-tower estimate is about 25 minutes, excluding queues, meals and visits. Escar travels uphill only; walk down afterwards.
- Sea Candle and garden → Daytime tower and garden visit
The garden is free by day, but tower admission is paid. Enjoy island views from the tower and garden, then leave by the exit.
- Sea Candle and garden exit → Via Nakamise Street and Benten Bridge to Enoshima Station

- Enoshima Station → Enoden Fujisawa Station
Return on a train towards Fujisawa for an ordinary adult single fare of JPY 220. The daytime combined ticket for the tower and Escar and Enoden return total JPY 1,540. JR return fares and meals are separate.
- JR Fujisawa Station → JR Yokohama Station
Leave Enoden's gates and go to JR Fujisawa. Take a Tokaido Line service towards Tokyo stopping at Yokohama, then follow your hotel's actual directions.
Escar travels uphill only. Allow time to walk down and eat. Skip the island in strong winds, high waves or access restrictions. If only the tower is closed, walk within open areas.
Day 4: indoor harbour museum exhibits
Choose a short final-day visit inside the harbour museum. For an early flight or insufficient time, skip it and leave for the airport.
- Yokohama accommodation and JR Yokohama Station → JR Sakuragicho Station
After checkout, if your Yokohama hotel can store luggage, return to Yokohama Station and take a Negishi Line service stopping at Sakuragicho. If staying near Sakuragicho, start the next walk from that station area. Skip sightseeing for a morning flight, closures, unavailable luggage storage or insufficient airport travel time.
- JR Sakuragicho Station → Yokohama Port Museum entrance
Walk about five minutes to the museum, following official facility guidance. Hotel access and train waits are separate.
- Port Museum entrance → Finish the visit and leave the building
A standard museum-only ticket costs JPY 500. Opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm, with last admission at 4.30 pm. It opens on public holiday Mondays and closes the next weekday; check maintenance and temporary closures in your date's calendar. This visit is on a different day from the ship, so the JPY 800 same-day combined ticket is not reused.
- JR Sakuragicho Station → JR Yokohama Station
If luggage is at a Sakuragicho hotel, collect it and return to that station before taking the Negishi Line to Yokohama. If stored near Yokohama Station, collect it on arrival and return to the station for your airport train. Allow separate hotel detour time.
- Yokohama Station → Your airport terminal
For Haneda, choose a direct or connecting Keikyu service to your terminal. For Narita, reserve a Narita Express service stopping at JR Yokohama. Alight at Narita Airport Station for Terminal 1 or Airport Terminal 2 for Terminals 2 and 3.
