A — Performance and views from Tokushima Station

Watch a dance performance, then look over Tokushima from the mountain the next day. Spend one night near Tokushima Station; choose this only if the final day allows the return Bizan trip before departure.

Day 1 · Awa Odori performance and a city evening

Watch one regular Awa Odori performance in the Level 2 theatre.

    Walk to Awa Odori Kaikan. The theatre is on Level 2 of the same building.

    Watch one daytime performance on Level 2. Shows start at 11:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 and last 40 minutes each. For a late arrival, compare the 20:00 evening show, which costs JPY 300 more per adult. Do not plan these regular shows on closure days or during the 11–15 August suspension.

  4. Awa Odori Kaikan → Meal near the station or Kaikan, then the same accommodation

    After the show, choose an open restaurant near the Kaikan or station for dinner and return to the same accommodation. For the evening show, check restaurant last orders.

Day 2 · Visit Bizan before departure

Walk from your station-area accommodation to Awa Odori Kaikan, then go to the lower ropeway station on Level 5. Enjoy the views from Bizan and take the same ropeway down.

    Take Bizan Ropeway, usually operating from 09:00, to the upper station. The ride takes about six minutes; ticketing, waiting and summit walking are extra. Check seasonal closing times and inspection or bad-weather suspensions for your date.

  2. Bizan upper station → Lower ropeway station

    After enjoying the views, take the same ropeway down.

  3. Lower ropeway station and Tokushima accommodation → Your actual departure boarding point

    Allow travel to your accommodation and departure boarding point as well as the approximately six-minute ropeway ride. Shorten the Bizan visit if departing early.

B — One night in Naruto, strait views on day two

Stay one night in Naruto for views down over the strait and its whirlpools. Walk through a city park on day one, then visit Uzunomichi according to the tide times on day two.

Day 1 · Naruto city views, then accommodation

Stay one night in Naruto, with city views from Myokensan Park first and the strait from Uzunomichi the next day. Accommodation near the station differs from accommodation by the strait; check return transport when booking. The park is accessible at any time, but finish the walk in daylight. For a late arrival, rest at your accommodation and visit only the strait the next day.

  2. Myokensan Park → City views and JR Naruto Station

    Look over Naruto from this free park on the former Muya Castle site. Today includes only an outdoor walk, without building interiors. Return towards the station and your accommodation, then eat at a city restaurant or your accommodation. Check restaurant hours for your date.

Day 2 · Visit Uzunomichi, then return to your accommodation

Look down over the Naruto Strait from Uzunomichi's walkway. Choose return Naruto Park buses around the tide times.

    Take a Naruto Park-bound bus from Naruto Station, then walk about five minutes from the park stop to the entrance. Adult fares are JPY 390 one way or JPY 780 return. Choose services in both directions from the operator's timetable to suit the day's tides, ticketing and visiting hours.

  2. Uzunomichi → Naruto accommodation

    Return to Naruto Park bus stop and take a bus back to Naruto Station. For lunch, check park shop hours or eat after returning to the station.

    Allow time from Naruto Station to your accommodation and actual departure boarding point. For a morning departure, compare visiting the strait after arrival on day one or omit it.

No. Adult daytime admission of JPY 1,300 and return Bizan fare of JPY 1,500 are separate. Both total JPY 2,800. For a separate combined ticket, check its inclusions and price.

Can I depart immediately after returning to Naruto Station?

Allow extra time after the bus arrives to collect luggage at accommodation and reach your actual departure boarding point. If the connection does not fit, shorten day-two strait viewing or compare moving it to day one.
