Two consecutive days around Sendai

Compare the Marugoto Pass when you will use city transport and the designated nearby routes on two days in a row. It is not a pass for two dates separated by a rest day. If you only travel for one day, compare separate fares and, if you meet its passport requirement, the Sendai Area Pass.

Official fare and consecutive validity

The two-day fare is JPY 2,930 for adults aged 12 or over and JPY 1,470 for children aged 6–11. Keep these official yen fares separate from any platform package price.

Railway boundaries and the airport connection

The designated JR area links Sendai, Matsushima, Matsushimakaigan, Yamadera and Shiroishi. The full Sendai Airport Access Line and Sendai Subway are included; Abukuma Express coverage is limited to Tsukinoki–Abukuma. Check the map’s boundary stations before planning a journey beyond these sections.

A local-area pass is not evidence that every train serving these stations is included. Confirm any Shinkansen or limited express journey and additional seat requirements with the operator before booking; the linked English summary does not establish those conditions.

City buses and the Akiu route

Loople Sendai and Sendai City Buses are included, but the Rakuten Shuttle bus is excluded. Miyagi Kotsu coverage is the designated Sendai Station–Akiu Otaki section, not the company’s entire network. Show the pass to the driver when getting off a covered bus.

Paper and TOHOKU MaaS use different gates

For a paper pass, insert it at JR, Sendai Subway and Sendai Airport Access Line automatic gates and retrieve it. Show a TOHOKU MaaS digital pass at a staffed ticket gate. The digital pass is not an automatic QR-gate ticket.

On covered buses, show the pass when getting off; on Abukuma Express, show it when boarding and leaving. Follow the issued digital product’s display instructions rather than treating a purchase email as the active pass.

Where to buy and the airport-machine exception

Within the valid area, listed purchase points include JR ticket offices, reserved-seat ticket machines, JR EAST Travel Service Centers, major travel agencies and Sendai Airport Station ticket machines. Sales are year-round, from one month before travel.

Sendai Airport Station machines sell only passes starting on the day of purchase. For a later start date, use another listed purchase channel. A travel agency outside the area sells the pass together with a travel package that includes visiting the valid area.

Collect the coupon booklet for your purchase channel

For a JR ticket-office, Travel Service Center or Sendai Airport Station machine purchase, collect the booklet from the station office. A reserved-seat machine or travel-agency purchase uses the Sendai Tourist Information Center on Sendai Station’s third floor.

For a travel-agency purchase outside the area, collect at that tourist information centre or the Sendai Airport Station office. Check the booklet for each facility’s conditions; a listed benefit does not guarantee the facility is open.

Eligibility, changes and seller conditions

The English Marugoto summary does not state the Area Pass’s non-Japanese-passport rule as a condition of this two-day product. Check the conditions of the paper or digital channel you choose rather than copying the one-day rule across.

Confirm date-change and refund conditions with the seller before purchase. The linked English summary does not provide enough detail to promise a particular refund fee, replacement for loss or a change after activation.
