Admission
Coastal walking has no admission fee. Observation facilities, sightseeing boats and parking cost extra.
Opening hours
The coast is freely accessible 24 hours without regular closures. Shops, observation facilities and boats have seasonal hours. April–October guidance usually lists shops at 09:00–17:00 and boats at 09:00–16:00. Boat operation may stop according to sea conditions and season.

How to get to Tojinbo
Take Echizen Railway’s Mikuni Awara Line towards Mikuni from Fukui and get off at Mikuni Station. Transfer to a Tojinbo-bound Keifuku bus, get off at Tojinbo and walk about 5 minutes to the coast. Riding takes about 50 minutes by train and 10 minutes by bus; waits are separate.

The weekday train and bus connection table was revised 1 October 2024. Adult one-way fares are ¥780 Fukui–Mikuni by train, ¥280 Mikuni Station–Tojinbo by bus and ¥570 Tojinbo–Awara-Yunomachi by bus. Check the origin station and bus direction and use separate Saturday, Sunday and public-holiday timetables. Check operating changes with the operator for your date.

Visiting tips
Check operation before travelling for a boat trip
Boats may stop operating because of weather, sea conditions or season. Check that day’s notice before departure if you want a boat trip. Mikuni, Mikuniminato and Awaraonsen are different boarding points; check your return station name.
