Admission
Collection admission: general ¥700, university ¥400, ages 18 and younger and high school students free. Special exhibitions may differ. Aomori-Ken outdoor-passage viewing is free and separate from indoor admission.

How to get to Aomori Museum of Art
Board a Sannai-Maruyama-bound city bus at stop 6 to 県立美術館前. The city’s 2026 timetable lists adult one-way ¥280; check departures and routing for your date. Nebutan-go from Shin-Aomori east side is another option with a different fare. Walk left along the sidewalk, then turn right at entrance signs. Official summer guidance lists roughly two minutes from stop to entrance. Pass first-floor information and take the gallery elevator to basement level 2. Allow ticketing/gallery walking separately; follow official winter routes in snow.

Visiting tips
Aomori-Ken passage hours and stairs
Passage hours: 09:45–16:30, entrance locked at 16:30. Walking there and back including stairs takes roughly 10–15 minutes. In 2026 it opened 21 April and closes around snowfall onset. Ask the museum about available access if stairs are difficult or visiting during snow.
