Standard individual admission: adults JPY 2,500; ages 65 and older JPY 2,200; elementary and junior high school students JPY 1,200; preschool children aged 3 and older JPY 700. Transport to the aquarium costs extra.

Usually open 09:30–17:30; December–February 10:00–17:00. Last admission is 1 hour before closing: 16:30 on standard days and 16:00 in December–February.

Marine life in the tanks and sea lion and dolphin shows
Take time to watch marine life moving through the tanks. Sea lion and dolphin shows can be combined with your aquarium visit. Shows are suspended during the show-pool construction period described below.
How to get to Marine World Uminonakamichi
Take a JR train from Hakata to Kashii, change to the Kashii Line and get off at Uminonakamichi. These JR sections are not covered by the Fukuoka subway day pass.
Visiting tips
Shows suspended: 12 January–9 April 2027
Show-pool construction suspends sea lion and dolphin shows and closes the seating area from 12 January to 9 April 2027. The period includes contingency days, so check the reopening announcement before visiting for the shows. The aquarium is also closed on 18–21 January 2027.
Allow separately for train transfers and your visit
From Hakata, you need to change trains and walk from Uminonakamichi Station to the aquarium. Allow for transfer waits and walking as well as train ride times. If visiting on departure day, you also need time afterwards to collect bags at the hotel and reach the International Terminal.

No. The JR trains from Hakata via Kashii to Uminonakamichi are not covered by the subway day pass. Buy JR tickets separately.
