Admission

An adult bathing pass costs ¥1,500 for three participating open-air baths, valid six months from purchase. It is for one person and cannot be shared. Individual bathing, accommodation and meals cost separately; day-use prices and admission vary by ryokan.

Opening hours

Kazeno-ya tourist information centre opens 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Day-use bath hours and final admission differ by ryokan. General guidance sometimes lists 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m., but prioritize your chosen ryokan’s information. Closures, cleaning, maintenance and crowds may restrict day-use bathing.

How to get to Kurokawa Onsen

Take a reserved Kyushu Odan Bus from outside Kumamoto Station or Sakuramachi to Kurokawa Onsen. Reservations run from two months before travel until the previous day, and adult one-way fares are ¥3,400. Ask your accommodation about the walk or pickup after getting off.
