Which Kumamoto attractions should I visit?

Choose Kumamoto Castle for the keep and restoration, or Suizenji Jōjuen Garden for rest beside a small Mount Fuji and pond. Explore history and nature at the municipal museum, or contemporary installations in Torichosuji’s art museum. For grasslands or a hot-spring ryokan stay, set aside an Aso or Kurokawa day and choose return transport separately.
