Admission

Tower admission is ¥800 for adults or ¥400 for elementary-school students. Samuel Cocking Garden is free during the day, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. On event days, leaving after 5 p.m. incurs a separate evening garden fee of ¥500 for adults or ¥250 for children. All Escar sections cost ¥500 for adults. The daytime tower and Escar package costs ¥1,100 for adults and is sold at the section 1 boarding point. When using the package, do not add the separate ¥800 tower and ¥500 Escar fees again.

Look out over the sea and mountains around Enoshima from the observation tower. Views depend on the day’s weather and visibility.

How to get to Enoshima Sea Candle

Start at Enoden Enoshima Station or Odakyu Katase-Enoshima Station. The published uphill route using the Escar takes about 25 minutes from Enoshima Station or 20 minutes from Katase-Enoshima Station. Even using the Escar, you still need to walk down.

Cross Enoshima Benten Bridge and enter Benzaiten Nakamise Street. Take the three paid Escar sections uphill to the left of the shrine’s red torii; Samuel Cocking Garden’s entrance is on the right. The tower is inside the garden. The estimates exclude meals, queues, the tower visit and the walk down. When using the daytime tower and Escar package on an event day, plan to leave the garden before 5 p.m.

Leaving the garden after 5 p.m. on event days

On event days, evening garden charges depend on when you leave. Leaving after 5 p.m. costs an additional ¥500 for adults or ¥250 for children, separately from tower admission. To visit at daytime rates on an event day, leave the garden before 5 p.m.

Questions about Enoshima Sea Candle

Can I take the Escar down after visiting Sea Candle?

No. The Escar operates uphill only. After the tower, you must walk down via steps and paths, so leave time for the return journey.
