How to get to The Hakone Open-Air Museum
From Yumoto, take a Gora-bound mountain train to Chokoku-no-Mori and walk about 2 minutes to the museum. By bus, get off at Ninotaira Iriguchi and walk about 6 minutes. The train and bus use different services.
Visiting tips
Starting from Yumoto
The museum requires a mountain train journey farther uphill from Yumoto towards Gora. If exploring around Yumoto Station too, leave time for both the return train journey and museum visit.
Exploring outdoors in the rain
Bring an umbrella or raincoat for the outdoor sculpture garden. Indoor exhibits are also available.
