Visitor information
Admission
Admission is JPY 500 for ages 15–64, excluding junior and senior high school students, and JPY 200 for ages 65 and over. Senior high school students and younger enter free through March 31, 2027; senior high school students need proof such as a student card. The combined ticket for Korakuen Garden and the Okayama Castle keep costs JPY 800.
Opening hours
From March 20 to September 30, the garden opens 07:30–18:00, with admission until 17:45. From October 1 to March 19, it opens 08:00–17:00, with admission until 16:45. It opens year-round, but events may change opening and closing times.
What to see at Okayama Korakuen Garden
Walk beside lawns and water
Take your time walking between the lawns and ponds to see the garden. Okayama Castle stands across the river, so you can continue to the keep exhibitions after the garden.

How to get to Okayama Korakuen Garden
The walk from Okayama Station takes about 25 minutes. By tram, take a service bound for Higashiyama and get off at Shiroshita. The garden is about a 10-minute walk from the stop. The official tram journey time of about four minutes excludes waiting and the walk from the stop.

Evening openings take place only on specified event dates. Check whether your visit falls within the event period and the last admission time that day.

Can I visit Korakuen Garden and Okayama Castle together?
Yes. The garden and castle sit on opposite sides of the river and can be visited together. If you plan to see both the garden and the castle keep exhibitions, check the combined ticket conditions.
