Admission
Paid-area standard admission through 21 November 2026: adults ¥400, high school ¥300, elementary/junior high ¥160. From 23 November: adults ¥1,000, high school ¥760, elementary/junior high ¥370. Under-six children are free. Interior Seiden visits from 23 November require a dated, timed reserved ticket.
Opening hours
April–November: free areas 08:00–19:30, paid areas 08:30–19:00, last entry 18:30. December–March: free areas 08:00–18:30, paid areas 08:30–18:00, last entry 17:30. See the closure/opening guidance below for 22–23 November 2026.

Walk past Shureimon through the park’s castle grounds. Free areas are walkable; paid tickets add other areas. Interior Seiden visits have date/time reservation conditions; choose admission for the areas you want.

How to get to Shurijo Castle Park
Take Yui Rail towards Tedako-Uranishi from Kencho-mae to Shuri. Walk roughly 15 minutes to Shureimon; allow park walking separately. The operator recommends an interior reservation 40–50 minutes after expected station arrival.

22 November 2026 closure and 23 November opening
All areas close on 22 November 2026. On the 23rd, free castle areas are scheduled to open at 11:15; paid areas/Seiden interior at 12:00. Interior visits from 23 November require a dated, timed reserved ticket. Unreserved tickets exclude the interior; same-day reservations depend on availability.

Allow time between station arrival and visit start
Official Shuri-to-Shureimon walking time is roughly 15 minutes, excluding park walking. For interior reservations, the operator recommends a slot 40–50 minutes after expected Shuri arrival.
