Consider a Motobu night for repeated or longer aquarium/Ocean Expo Park visits. The Naha-based five-day A route visits the north once; adult northern bus return fare is ¥3,800. Attraction admission and Naha city rail cost extra. Staying in Motobu changes departure points and bus sections, so compare hotel and travel costs again.

You can visit the aquarium on day 2, stay in Motobu, then see the botanical garden on day 3 before returning to Naha. A final Naha night reduces long-distance travel on departure day. Choose both the Kencho-kitaguchi-to-hotel service and day-3 Naha return before booking.

Hotel Mahaina Wellness Resort Okinawa · ホテルマハイナ ウェルネスリゾートオキナワ lists a free shuttle towards the aquarium. Get off at affiliated Royal View Hotel Churaumi · ロイヤルビューホテル美ら海, then walk roughly five minutes to the aquarium. The shuttle does not enter the aquarium entrance; check both directions’ times at reception. Check-in begins at 15:00; checkout is 11:00. Ask the hotel about booking-specific conditions and large-luggage storage before check-in/after checkout. If accommodation and connections are difficult to arrange, choose the Naha-based route below.

The hotel does not provide airport transfers. For direct northern-to-airport travel on departure day, check dated Yanbaru Express or Okinawa Airport Shuttle timetables. Distinguish your hotel-area boarding stop and domestic/international terminal drop-offs. Allow road congestion and arrive comfortably before airline check-in/baggage deadlines.

At Naha Airport · 那覇空港, use the second-floor terminal walkway to Naha Airport Station for Yui Rail. Get off at Kencho-mae for the basic routes’ hotel area. International-arrival immigration, baggage collection and terminal-to-station travel are additional to riding time.

Naha to the southern cave

Driving routes assume an arranged rental car or return driver service between your hotel and Okinawa World. For buses, board route 54 Maekawa or 83 Gyokusendo at Naha Bus Terminal, get off at Gyokusendo-mae and walk roughly two minutes. Check dated services in both directions and section fares separately from driving-route costs.

After international arrival, allow immigration, baggage collection and terminal travel before reaching the station. Compare Yui Rail sections and travel passes

Yui Rail serves Naha/Shuri, not Churaumi Aquarium. Some Tedako-Uranishi-direction trains terminate at Makishi; check destination displays for Shuri or Omoromachi. Ordinary Kencho-mae–Shuri fare is ¥320 one way; Kencho-mae–Omoromachi ¥250. A Shuri return costs ¥640, so an adult ¥1,000 24-hour pass is not automatically worthwhile. Compare other rides and facility discounts. The 48-hour pass costs ¥1,800 and is valid for 48 hours after purchase. Neither covers northern Yanbaru Express or southern routes 54/83, nor replaces aquarium/museum admission. Check bus section fares for the northern aquarium.

Yanbaru Express does not take advance seat reservations; full buses may prevent boarding. Reaching the stop does not guarantee your chosen service. The operator has announced a bus-location-page fault. A service missing from location data does not by itself mean suspension; check operating notices and stop information.

Main-island Okinawa food and restaurants

Okinawa soba is a soup dish with wheat noodles, not buckwheat. Goya champuru is a stir-fry with bitter melon, suitable with rice if you enjoy its bitterness. Compare Naha and destination-area restaurant locations in the main-island food guide.

Plan market meals around individual shops and cooking last orders rather than building hours. On aquarium days, park lunch followed by Naha dinner after the return bus fits these routes. Do not choose closed Nantoya at Okinawa World. Ask the facility about SANGO’s dated hours if eating there.

Four-/five-day B southern routes require a vehicle secured beforehand. Obtain a provider quote separately. To switch to buses, check routes 54/83 dated return timetables and section fares using official access guidance. Without a planned return, omit the southern visit and choose Naha city sightseeing.
