Four days in Okinawa: a northern or southern day?
For marine life and Ryukyu castle grounds, visit Churaumi and Shurijo on separate days. For caves/crafts, spend a day at southern Okinawa World and add Naha cultural facilities. Southern driving routes require a rental car or return driver service.
Choose a 4 days, 3 nights itinerary
A: northern aquarium and Shurijo on separate days
Allow time for both the north’s large tank and Ryukyu castle. Visit Churaumi and Shurijo Castle Park on different days instead of combining long-distance travel and castle sightseeing. Use buses for the north and Yui Rail/walking in Naha.

Walk a cave and try crafts on day 2, with Naha’s museum/Shurijo Castle Park on days 1 and 3. The southern day requires a rental car or return vehicle service with a driver. Vehicle costs are excluded from the subtotal; add your provider’s quoted price separately.

Day 1: airport → Kencho-mae accommodation → market/Kokusai Street → accommodation
Start with a market meal and Kokusai Street; split aquarium and castle park between days 2 and 3. For late arrival or market closures, choose an open Kokusai Street restaurant. Tomorrow’s northern bus leaves from Kencho-kitaguchi in front of Palette Kumoji.
- Naha Airport Station → Kencho-mae accommodation
After immigration and baggage collection, use the second-floor walkway to Naha Airport Station. Take a Tedako-Uranishi-direction train to Kencho-mae: ¥290, 13 minutes. Stop at your hotel, then go to Kokusai Street’s southern entrance. Hotel walking time is additional to riding time.

Day 2: accommodation → northern aquarium → Naha accommodation
See the large tank’s marine life, then eat lunch and rest in the park. Shurijo is tomorrow, leaving today for aquarium sightseeing. Walking to stops, bus waits and park travel are separate from riding time.
- Kencho-kitaguchi in front of Palette Kumoji → Kinen-koen-mae and aquarium entrance
Take a northbound YKB bus from Kencho-kitaguchi in front of Palette Kumoji to Kinen-koen-mae (Central Gate). One official timetable example departs at 08:40 and arrives at 10:45: two hours five minutes on the bus. Paired with the 16:15 return below, this leaves five hours 30 minutes at the park. Check before departure that these services operate on your date. The official walk from the stop to the aquarium entrance is roughly 10 minutes. Enter through Central Gate, turn right around Haisai Plaza and follow signs north towards the aquarium.

Pay adult admission ¥2,180 for the whale shark and manta tank. Eat lunch and rest in the park before returning to Naha; visit Shurijo tomorrow.
- Central Gate and return bus stop → Kencho-kitaguchi and Naha accommodation
From Central Gate, cross the footbridge to the Naha-bound YKB stop below the connecting footbridge to the charter-bus car park. An official return example departs Kinen-koen-mae at 16:15 and reaches Kencho-kitaguchi at 18:32: two hours 17 minutes riding. Recheck dated operation and the stop; allow boarding waits. Road congestion may delay Naha arrival. Get off almost opposite the stop in front of Palette Kumoji, walk to your hotel and eat dinner in Naha. Adult fare: ¥1,900 one way, ¥3,800 return.

Day 3: accommodation → Shurijo Castle Park → city dinner → accommodation
Walk Shureimon and the castle grounds for Ryukyu history. For the Seiden interior, match your date’s opening and reservation slot. If closures require a date change, adjust other attractions and transport.
- Kencho-mae accommodation and station → Shuri Station south exit and Shureimon
Take a Tedako-Uranishi-direction train from Kencho-mae to Shuri: ¥320, 14 minutes. Leave through the south exit and follow the official route to Shureimon, generally roughly 15 minutes. For Seiden interior reservations, allow 40–50 minutes from station arrival to your slot.

- Kencho-mae accommodation → Fukushuen entrance
Visit Fukushuen after 09:00 on an open day. Use the official access map for the entrance at 2-29-19 Kume. Walking from Kencho-mae Station takes seven minutes; hotel-to-station time is extra. Daytime entry is ¥200. Walk the garden, then eat near Kencho-mae.

B: southern cave and city culture
Walk a cave and try crafts on day 2, with Naha’s museum/Shurijo Castle Park on days 1 and 3. The southern day requires a rental car or return vehicle service with a driver. Vehicle costs are excluded from the subtotal; add your provider’s quoted price separately.
Day 1: airport → museum → Kencho-mae accommodation
Before day 2’s cave and crafts, see Okinawa’s nature and history in the museum’s permanent collection. Direct airport-to-museum travel requires suitable opening, visit time and luggage storage. A hotel-first stop changes sections and costs.
- Naha Airport Station → Omoromachi Station, museum main entrance and luggage storage
After immigration and baggage collection, use the second-floor walkway to Naha Airport Station. Take a Tedako-Uranishi-direction train to Omoromachi: ¥320, 19 minutes. Walk 10–15 minutes to the museum’s main entrance. Large-luggage lockers on the first floor beside it require a refundable ¥100 coin. Day 2: accommodation/vehicle pickup → Okinawa World → vehicle return/Naha accommodation
Walk Gyokusendo Cave and enjoy park exhibits or crafts today. For rental cars, arrange pickup/return places and times; with a driver, arrange both journeys in advance. Agree vehicle type, passenger count, luggage space, insurance and excess-waiver conditions with the provider. Vehicle costs, taxis, fuel, tolls, activities and meals are excluded from the subtotal.
- Accommodation and booked vehicle pickup → Okinawa World parking/drop-off point
Travel from your agreed pickup to 1336 Maekawa, Tamagusuku, Nanjo. Allow rental pickup and driving preparation separately. The facility’s 30–40-minute estimate starts at Naha Airport; hotel travel depends on location and roads. For expressway access, check Haebaru-minami IC · 南風原南IC in the vehicle FAQ alongside the destination address.

- Parking/drop-off point → Ticket desk, Gyokusendo Cave and park sightseeing
Walk from parking or your agreed drop-off to the ticket desk and pay adult admission ¥2,000. Regular admission starts with Gyokusendo Cave; the facility recommends three to five hours overall. Continue with exhibits and lunch, but do not choose closed Nantoya for a meal. Ask the facility whether SANGO restaurant operates that day before planning lunch. For a bingata activity, check official guidance of activities from 20 minutes and prices from ¥1,600 and same-day registration. Activities are excluded from basic admission.

- Booked meeting point → Vehicle return point and Naha accommodation
Meet your return vehicle at the agreed point for Naha. Return rental cars at the contracted place/time before continuing to your hotel. A driver service also needs a return booking. The facility says vacant taxis are not always waiting. If return travel fails, ask the ticket desk for the dispatch-centre number and check availability and Naha fares.
The tourism body lists free parking for 400 vehicles, without guaranteeing spaces that day. Allow the parking-to-ticket-desk walk. Vehicles, fuel, tolls, activities and meals are outside the subtotal.
A booked return vehicle service with a driver allows this southern day without a rental car.
Do not follow the driving route without either a rental car or a secured return driver service.
For bus travel, take route 54 Maekawa or 83 Gyokusendo from Naha Bus Terminal beside Asahibashi Station to Gyokusendo-mae, then walk roughly two minutes. Before departure, use operator timetables linked from the facility’s official access page to check outward/return services and section fares together. Dated bus times and fares are excluded from this driving-route subtotal.
If no return service is arranged, replace the day with meals around Naha’s Kokusai Street/market. Attractions and costs change.
Not all shows run in rain. The facility says approaching typhoons or strong wind/rain may cancel performances. Check vehicle and facility operation; do not plan travel when typhoons stop transport.
Day 3: accommodation → Shurijo Castle Park → Naha city → accommodation
Walk Shureimon and the castle grounds for Ryukyu history. For the Seiden interior, match your date’s opening and reservation slot. If closures require a date change, adjust other attractions and transport.

Take a Tedako-Uranishi-direction train from Kencho-mae to Shuri: ¥320, 14 minutes. Leave through Shuri’s south exit and follow the official walking route to Shureimon, generally roughly 15 minutes. For Seiden interior reservations, allow 40–50 minutes between station arrival and your slot.
