Saga in one night, two days: Yoshinogari or Takeo bathing

Stay one night near Saga Station and choose a ruins walk or bathing on day two. Choose Yoshinogari for a large park walk, or Takeo Motoyu for a short bath and rest. Both routes sightsee into the afternoon, so skip day-two sightseeing or stay another night for a morning flight to Seoul.

Saga Airport buses and JR ticket checks

Read these together when choosing your airport departure day and rail travel dates.

Does the Saga Airport international bus run every day?

Choose an airport-bound bus from Saga Station Bus Center that matches your booked flight. In Saga City Bus's date-specific timetable, distinguish domestic and international services, operating days and stopping routes. Direct international connections for Seoul and Taipei use Saga Station Bus Center bay 1 and airport international bay 2, different from domestic airport bay 1. The direct international ride takes about 30 minutes and costs JPY 600 one way for adults. Airport buses are separate from route subtotals. If you left luggage at your hotel, allow time to collect it and reach the bus centre.

Direct international services run around flight operating days, so do not assume the same departure every day. They also differ from domestic services stopping at Hakubutsukan-mae by Saga Castle. Decide whether sightseeing fits the departure conditions above, then allow airline check-in and baggage deadlines and security time after reaching the airport.

These bay and fare details are based on the October 1–24, 2026 timetable. For travel from October 25, check the new timetable for flights, bus times and stopping routes again.

Do I need the Northern Kyushu Rail Pass just for travel within Saga?

These route costs add individual tickets and facility fees; they are not calculated as savings from a pass. The Northern Kyushu Rail Pass covers local trains and limited express Midori services in its northern Kyushu area, including Saga, for three or five consecutive days. Even on a four-night, five-day trip, match the validity period to your actual JR days if they are spread out.

Airport buses, Yutoku buses, Shōwa buses, admission and bathing fees are separate. Eligibility requires a non-Japanese tourist residing outside Japan and entering under Temporary Visitor conditions; check seat reservations and services on your dates. If adding JR travel in Fukuoka, Nagasaki or elsewhere, compare the full rail cost with the pass price. Return travel time and sightseeing in those extra areas are excluded from this Saga route.
