How to get to downtown Naha from Naha Airport

Choose your accommodation location first

This time is the standard time from Naha Airport Station to the arrival station after taking the train. After landing, immigration, baggage, customs, walking to the station, ticketing, moving to the platform, waiting for the train, and walking to accommodation are not included. If you have bus transfers, you'll also have to add waiting times and additional fares.

Naha Airport Yui Rail platform: Domestic 2nd floor connecting passage

Yui Rail · ゆいレール uses Naha Airport Station · 那覇空港駅, an elevated station outside the terminal. Reach it through the second-floor connecting passage in the domestic area.

Walking time to Naha Airport Station varies depending on where you arrive and the amount of luggage. Rather than assuming that you will arrive in just a few minutes, leave some time, including the location of the arrival gate, luggage, and waiting for the elevator.

For hotels near the Prefectural Office or Palette Kumoji · パレットくもじ, use Kencho-mae Station. According to the official tourist information, it is about a 2-minute walk to the west entrance of Kokusai Street. If your accommodation is in the center or east of the street, don't walk all the way, but compare your address with the Makishi/Miebashi route below.

Accommodations on the Saion Square Makishi side have a short route from Makishi Station towards Kokusai Street. If you are staying near the center of Kokusai Dori, compare the accommodation addresses between Makishi Station and Miebashi Station. Miebashi Station · 美栄橋駅 costs 320 yen from the airport and takes about 14 minutes to ride, and the official tourist guide's approximately 7-minute walk to Kokusai Street does not refer to the time to a specific accommodation. Exit the ticket gate and follow the pedestrian deck towards Kafuna Asahibashi Building A. The first floor of the building is the bus terminal, and go down the elevator and stairs from the second floor deck to check the bus stop number for each route. Distinguish between the upper floor where commercial facilities are located and the ground floor where the bus stop is located. Transfer bus tickets are separate, and the bus will not wait for you at the Yui Rail arrival time.

T Galleria Okinawa · T ギャラリア沖縄 You can find the area around Omoromachi Station. The walking route to the new downtown accommodation and shopping area west of the station varies depending on the address. San-A Naha Main Place · サンエー那覇メインプレイス You have to walk back from the station, and if your luggage is heavy or your accommodation is far from the station, compare the cost of taking a taxi to the front of the accommodation.

Yui Rail payment and transfer costs

You can buy regular QR tickets at station vending machines, and you can also ride with reciprocal transport IC cards such as OKICA, Suica, PASMO, and ICOCA. Touch payment for supported cards uses a dedicated reader at the turnstile, and the same card or device is used when entering and exiting.

If you transfer from Yui Rail to a bus, the bus fare is separate. Just because Suica works on the monorail doesn't mean it works on all Okinawa buses. In particular, TK01 and TK02 below do not accept transport IC cards but use cash or support card touch payments.

Regular tickets, exclusive monorail tickets, and bus passes have different scopes of application and are not explained in the same table.

Actual route bus from the airport to the west of Kokusai Street

TK01 Hare Express/TK02 Umikaji Liner

Arrival lobby → Bus stop No. 4 outside the first floor of the domestic terminal → ‘国際通り入口’ direction → Kokusai Street entrance stop → West accommodation

TK01 is an early morning express, and TK02 is a regular route to the city. Airport → Kokusai Street entrance: 240 yen for adults. You must take the northbound bus to downtown, and do not confuse it with the southbound bus stop 6 toward Itoman and Senagajima.

The drop-off point at the entrance to Kokusai Street is in front of the Okinawa Bank main office, near the Kumoji intersection. This is not a stop that takes you directly to your accommodation on the Makishi side.

Board through the middle door and take a numbered ticket if paying cash, or tap a supported bank card on the reader. Pay or tap again at the front when leaving. TK01 and TK02 do not accept transport IC cards. Ask the driver about space for large bags and keep the aisle clear.

The trunk conditions of the resort limousine do not apply to this city bus.

There are other routes at the airport, such as 26, 99, and 120, but the transit and drop-off stops are different. Check the official bus navi for the route that suits your accommodation by date and direction. Okinawa Bus announced changes to the airport stop names and fares on October 19th, so you must check the notices on that date when using the four companies' routes. Official Bus Navi

From the official taxi stand to the front of the accommodation

In downtown Naha, use mid- to short-distance taxi stands. It is separated from the long-distance boarding area north of Chatan. Check the location using the airport taxi map and on-site staff, and prepare the Japanese address rather than just showing the name of the accommodation, so it is difficult to confuse hotels with the same name.

The regular car fare according to the operator's revised notice dated August 24, 2026 is 650 yen for the first 1.65km and 100 yen for every 350m thereafter. Approved fares and low-speed driving additions are applied depending on the vehicle and business operator, and a 20% late-night and early-morning surcharge is applied from 22:00 to 05:00.

If you use a toll road, check separate costs such as tolls. Fares vary depending on where you go on Kokusai Street and traffic conditions.

Times vary depending on road conditions. ANA airport information provides a reference value of approximately 20 minutes by car to Kokusai Street, but it may take longer depending on waiting lines, congestion, detours, and the location of your accommodation. Please ask about payment method and suitcase availability before boarding.

Last departures from Naha Airport and late arrivals

For the Sunday 4 October and Monday 5 October timetables checked, Yui Rail departures from the airport run from 06:00 to 23:30. A separate Friday extra service leaves at 00:00 and terminates at Makishi; it does not reach Omoromachi.

Temporary departures are not daily last trains. For the 10–12 October festival period, choose your actual boarding date in the official calendar.

Landing before 23:00 does not guarantee the 23:30 train. Allow immigration, baggage, customs, the station walk and ticketing. TK01/TK02 city buses finish earlier and are not a late alternative to the last train.

When you have finished using public transportation, go to the official taxi stand. When arriving late alone, it is practical to first secure the accommodation's late check-in availability, entrance and contact information, and compare transportation to the front of the accommodation rather than dragging a suitcase to a distant station or dark unfamiliar road.

For reservation pickup, you must check the flight number tracking, free waiting time, delay surcharge, and contact method on the reservation confirmation.

If you decide to stay near the airport, check the check-in deadlines for actual hotels available for reservation, means of transportation from the airport, and transportation for the next day. Don't plan on the assumption that you can stay overnight in the airport lobby.

Choose hotels in Chatan, Onna-son, and Nago separately from those traveling to the city.

Chatan · 北谷, Onna Village · 恩納村 and Nago · 名護 are outside the Yui Rail network. Match your resort’s name and address to the actual bus stop, then compare a direct airport bus with a reserved transfer.

Reserve the hotel stop limousine at the correct area/hotel.

For the Okinawa Bus Limousine departing from Bus Stop 1 at the airport, use tickets for the actual operating areas such as A, B, C, CD, D. AB·E·DE are currently marked as closed in the operator information. Area A is divided into Chatan and Ginowan Hotels, C is towards Onna Village, and CD and D are towards northern Onna Village and Nago Resort. In the table on August 21, 2026, there is one bus departure per day departing from Area A airport at 14:10. The 06:50 and 08:50 departures in the table do not depart from the airport. C and CD have a total of four bus departures per day (12:00, 13:50, 15:10, 18:00), and the range of stops varies by hotel, while D has two bus departures per day at 11:30 and 13:30.

Match the airport departure row with your hotel’s column. Chatan Gateway costs 1,000 yen. In area C, The Moon Beach Museum Resort · ザ・ムーンビーチ ミュージアムリゾート costs 1,700 yen, and ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort · ANAインターコンチネンタル万座ビーチリゾート costs 1,800 yen. Check the appropriate area’s fare table for other hotels.

A ticket is required before boarding, and if all seats are full, standing room is not allowed. Same-day airport sales close 10 minutes before departure, and advance reservations are available up to 1 month in advance. Two pieces of luggage per passenger, total weight of 30kg, each within 50×60×120cm. It is not possible to use it only for the section between Airport → Naha Bus Terminal and Prefectural Office.

Check whether the drop-off hotel/waiting location is the same as the actual reservation accommodation. For example, BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki · BEB5沖縄瀬良垣 does not stop inside the hotel. You must check the Otakushibaru (太田後原) stop designated by the operator with the hotel access information.

When the flight is late or there is a typhoon effect

Okinawa Bus Limousine departs on time without waiting for flight delays. In principle, refunds must be applied for at the place of purchase before the departure time indicated on the ticket, and the operator's ticket provides a 100 yen fee per person and additional conditions for each seller.

Check the remaining seats and purchase conditions to see if you can take or change to a later bus. This is not to be confused with the terms and conditions for use of empty seats on the next airport shuttle.

If you are comparing reserved pickups, you can check by entering the actual accommodation address and arrival date and time in Klook's Naha Airport departure pickup and use conditions. As for flight standards, the driver will check the flight status, but if you select a fixed time and miss the flight due to a delay, you will be informed that no refund is possible. Please check the conditions of the selected vehicle separately for free waiting, additional fees, and changeable times.

Depending on whether meeting service is available, you must go to the arrival hall or the designated location on the voucher, and check the number of people and suitcase limits for each vehicle. This search screen does not guarantee availability for all late night hours.

OTS says that waiting more than an hour beyond the scheduled pickup without contacting the branch can cancel the booking and leave no vehicle available. If your flight is delayed, tell both the seller and the actual transfer or rental-car operator your booking number, flight number and new arrival time. An airport branch may require a shuttle to an off-site office. Confirm the shuttle cutoff and final collection time separately. OTS currently does not accept new bookings for collections outside business hours.

If there is a typhoon notice, check each flight, airport terminal, Yui Rail, and selected bus. It is not possible to conclude that all transportation services will be suspended based on weather alone.

If you are going to downtown Naha, compare the regular Yui Rail ticket, TK01, and TK02 fares first. The tourist admission ticket does not connect to the airport transportation ticket.
