Free and paid sections are separate. Individual paid-area admission is ¥300 for ages 16 and older, ¥100 for elementary and junior high school students and free for preschool children.

How to get to Iwate Bank Red Brick Building

Take Dendenmushi’s clockwise loop outside Morioka Station and get off at Morioka Bus Center, about one minute on foot from the Red Brick Building. The facility gives about 10 minutes by bus or 30 minutes on foot from the station. Return on Dendenmushi’s anticlockwise loop from the bus centre to the station. Both directions serve the centre, with an adult fare of ¥150 per ride. If coming via the castle park, allow time for exploring it and walking onwards.

Plan for luggage and stairs first

The Red Brick Building has no lockers or lift. Arrange somewhere for large luggage before visiting. If stairs are difficult for you, ask the facility which areas you can access.
