Admission

There are separate free and paid areas. Individual admission to the paid area is ¥300 for ages 16 and older and ¥100 for elementary and junior high school students. Preschool children enter free.

Visiting hours are 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. The building closes every Tuesday and December 29–January 3.

How to get to Iwate Bank Red Brick Building · 岩手銀行赤レンガ館

Take the Dendenmushi Right Loop from outside Morioka Station and get off at Morioka Bus Center. Walk about one minute to the Red Brick Building. The facility guide gives about ten minutes by bus from the station, or about 30 minutes on foot. For the return, take the Left Loop from the bus center to Morioka Station. Both directions pass through the bus center; each adult ride costs ¥150. If visiting the castle park on the way, leave time to explore the park and walk onward.
