Admission
Exterior cliff views are free. Cave admission costs 1,500 yen for junior high school students and older, or 750 yen for elementary school children; preschool children enter free.
Opening hours
Cave hours are 08:00–17:00, last admission 16:50.

How to get to Sandanbeki
Take a bus from JR Shirahama for about 20 minutes to Sandanbeki, then walk about five minutes to the cliffs. The 20-minute ride starts at JR Shirahama; from accommodation, check your nearby stop and return services separately.

Before you visit
Bad weather or maintenance may close the cave
The cave may close temporarily for bad weather or maintenance. Mid-December maintenance closures are possible; check notices for your date if planning to enter.

Walk from the bus stop to the cliffs
The cliffs are about five minutes on foot from Sandanbeki stop. Check return buses first and allow additional visiting time if entering the cave.
