Admission
Viewing the cliffs outside is free. Cave admission is ¥1,500 for junior high school students and older, ¥750 for elementary school students, and free for preschool children.
Opening hours
The cave operates 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with last admission at 4:50 p.m.

Take a bus from JR Shirahama Station for about 20 minutes and get off at Sandanbeki. The cliffs are about five minutes on foot from the stop. The 20-minute estimate starts at JR Shirahama Station; from your lodging, check the nearby stop and round-trip services.

Visit tips
Weather and maintenance may close the cave
The cave may close temporarily for bad weather or maintenance. Mid-December maintenance closures are possible, so check notices for your visit date if you want to enter.

Walking from the bus to the cliffs
The cliffs are about five minutes on foot from Sandanbeki bus stop. Check the return bus in advance, and allow additional time if visiting the cave.
