Admission

Bridge return: junior-high age and older 500 yen; elementary students 250; preschool children free. No separate one-way ticket. Combined bridge/ropeway/Iwakuni Castle tickets: adults 1,550, elementary students 700.

Opening hours

Crossing is possible 24 hours. Ticket office normally 08:00–17:00, until 18:00 in tourist season or 19:00 in summer. When unstaffed, pay in the fee box. High water, heavy rain or strong winds may close the bridge.

River views from the arches and park walks

Walk the wooden arches for riverbank views. After crossing, walk about another five minutes to Kikko Park.

How to get to Kintaikyo Bridge

Take a Kintaikyo-bound bus from Iwakuni stand 1, about 20 minutes, then walk about one minute from the stop. Routes 11/21 via Muronoki cost adults 300 yen one way, 600 return. Check other routings separately. From Shin-Iwakuni, the bus takes about 15 minutes.

Can I cross Kintaikyo with a one-way ticket?

Individual tickets cover a return; there is no separate one-way ticket. After Kikko Park walks, cross back with the same ticket.
