How to get to Tottori Sand Dunes

Take route 39 Sakyu Line from Tottori Station north-side bus terminal stand 0 to the Sakyu Kaikan terminus (砂丘会館(鳥取砂丘)). Walk a few minutes to the dunes. Adults pay 380 yen one way. Allow dune-hill walking separately. After visiting the museum too, return to Tottori Station from Suna-no-Bijutsukan-mae.

Adding The Sand Museum

Add the museum’s sand-sculpture exhibition after dune walks. Admission is paid and the museum closes for display changes. Allow walking between the two and museum viewing separately. For the return, check Tottori Station-bound buses from Suna-no-Bijutsukan-mae.
