For four Kumamoto nights, should I spend two in Aso or Kurokawa?

For grasslands separate from city viewing, compare two city nights followed by two in Aso. For more hot-spring time, compare two Kurokawa nights before returning to the city. In Aso, divide time between grassland walks and rest; in Kurokawa, visit participating ryokans’ outdoor baths at your own pace.

Compare Kagoshima sand bathing and shrine trips

For sand bathing or shrines rather than grasslands and hot-spring ryokans, compare Kagoshima’s four-night choices. Reallocate hotel nights instead of adding both regions’ full courses to the same dates. Compare ordinary tickets with designated Southern or All Kyushu coverage for Kumamoto–Kagoshima-Chuo shinkansen; Northern Kyushu excludes it. Station access, local trams, ferries, buses or rental cars after arrival, and changed hotel costs are separate. Check actual-date return trains and hotel access first.

Frequently asked questions

Do two Kurokawa nights require two Nyuto Tegata passes?

One adult pass at 1,500 yen covers one person at three participating outdoor baths within six months of purchase. Even over two days, subtract yesterday’s uses and check the remaining allowance and each facility’s same-day reception. The course includes one pass. For individual bathing, replace it with your chosen bath charges.
