Walk by the river and bridges
The Korogi–Kurotani path is about 1.3 kilometres. View the gorge from a bridge or walk a nearby riverside section and return to your hotel.

Kawadoko is below Ayatori Bridge, about 850 metres from Yamanaka Onsen bus terminal. The official tourism guide gives about 15 minutes on foot.
Official Kaga Kakusenkei Kawadoko fees and hours Official Kaga riverside tourism guide
The hotel’s local guide gives about seven minutes on foot from Ohanami Kyubei to Korogi Bridge and 20 minutes to Kawadoko. Walk a nearby section from the bridge and return the same way. Allow separate access time if continuing to Ayatori Bridge or starting from another hotel. The four-/five-day courses with two hot spring nights do not walk the entire roughly 1.3-kilometre path. Allow more walking time to reach Kawadoko or the path’s far end.
