Admission
Park walks are free. Kubota Castle Osumiyagura interior admission is JPY 150 per adult per visit, free for high-school age and younger.
Opening hours and closed days
The park is open year-round. Kubota Castle Osumiyagura opens 09:00–16:30 from 1 April to 30 November. Summer-school-holiday hours may extend to 19:00; check your date’s guidance.
What can I see at Senshu Park?
Walk from the moat to Ninomaru
Follow the water around the moat, then climb to the hilltop Ninomaru site. For fewer slopes, finish your walk around the moat instead.
How to get to Senshu Park
The pocket park is about five minutes’ walk from Akita Station; hilltop Ninomaru takes about 15. Plan walking time according to how far you want to explore.
Before you visit
Osumiyagura closes in winter
Kubota Castle Osumiyagura closes 1 December–31 March. Park walks and indoor visits have different hours; check opening on your date if visiting inside too.
