Admission
The park walk is free. Kubota Castle's Osumiyagura interior costs ¥150 per person per visit for general admission; high school students and younger enter free.
Opening hours
The park is open year-round. Kubota Castle's Osumiyagura is open April 1–November 30, 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Hours may extend to 7:00 p.m. during summer break; check the notice for your date.
What to see at Senshu Park
Walk from the moat to the Ninomaru site
Follow the waterside by the moat, then climb to the Ninomaru site on the hill. To reduce slopes, finish your walk around the moat.
How to get to Senshu Park
Senshu Park Pocket Park is about a five-minute walk from Akita Station. Reaching the uphill Ninomaru site takes about 15 minutes. Plan your walking time around which area you want to explore.
Visit tips
Osumiyagura closes in winter
Kubota Castle's Osumiyagura closes December 1–March 31. Park walks and indoor visits have different schedules, so check whether the interior opens on your date if you want to visit it.
