Admission
Park walks are free. Kubota Castle Osumiyagura interior admission is JPY 150 per adult per visit; senior high-school age and younger are free.
Opening hours
The park is open year-round. Kubota Castle Osumiyagura opens from 09:00 to 16:30 from 1 April to 30 November. Summer-holiday hours may extend to 19:00; check your date’s guidance.
What to see at Senshu Park
Walk from the moat to the Ninomaru site
Follow the waterside around the moat, then continue uphill to Ninomaru. For fewer slopes, finish your walk around the moat instead.
How to get to Senshu Park
Walk about five minutes from Akita Station to Pocket Park or 15 minutes to hilltop Ninomaru. Allow walking time for the places you choose to explore.
Before you visit
Osumiyagura closes in winter
Kubota Castle Osumiyagura is closed from 1 December to 31 March. Park walks and interior visits have different hours; check opening on your date if planning to go inside.
