Official tourism guidance lists no separate admission fee. Ugo Kotsu adult fares are JPY 710 from Tazawako Station to Katajiri and JPY 1,160 for the lake circuit. JR trains, cruises and meals cost extra.

How to get to Lake Tazawa Tatsuko Statue

Take a Lake Tazawa circuit bus outside Tazawako Station to Katajiri (潟尻). The ride takes about 30 minutes, followed by about a minute’s walk to the statue. For a walking-stop visit, choose a service with stops and return to the same bus. The east-side lakeshore cruise pier is at a different stop.

Check whether your bus has walking stops

Some Lake Tazawa circuit buses stop for walks of 20 minutes at Katajiri and ten minutes at Gozanoishi Shrine. Return to the same bus before the stop ends. Some early-morning and evening services have no walking stops; some do not run on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays or designated holiday periods. Check both walking-stop and non-operating markings for your date. To change buses, check ticket conditions and additional fares separately.
