Official tourism guidance does not list a separate admission fee. Ugo Kotsu adult fares are JPY 710 from Tazawako Station to Katajiri or JPY 1,160 for the lake loop. JR trains, cruises and meals are extra.

How to get to Lake Tazawa Tatsuko Statue

Take a Lake Tazawa loop bus outside Tazawako Station and alight at Katajiri · 潟尻. The ride is about 30 minutes, followed by a one-minute walk to the statue. For a sightseeing-break visit, choose a bus with that stop and reboard the same service. The eastern lakeside cruise pier is at a different stop.

Before you visit

Check whether your bus has sightseeing stops

Some Lake Tazawa loop services stop for 20 minutes at Katajiri and ten at Gozanoishi Shrine. Reboard the same bus before the break ends. Some early-morning and evening services have no sightseeing stops; others do not run on weekends, public holidays or designated holiday periods. Check both stop and non-operating markings for your date. To change buses, check ticket conditions and extra fares separately.
