Admission

The seven-hell combined ticket costs 2,400 yen for high-school students and older, or 1,200 yen for primary-school and junior-high pupils. It allows one entry per facility on purchase day and the following day. Bathing and buses are excluded.

Five Kannawa hells and two farther away

Kannawa has Umi Jigoku, Oniishibozu Jigoku, Kamado Jigoku, Oniyama Jigoku and Shiraike Jigoku. Chinoike and Tatsumaki lie about three kilometres away. To see both areas in one day, allow bus travel and walks between facilities.

How to get to Beppu Hells Tour

From Beppu Station west stand 3, take Kannawa-bound route 5 to Umi Jigoku-mae or Kannawa. Walk the five nearby facilities and travel separately to Chinoike and Tatsumaki about three kilometres away.

Before you visit

After a late arrival, start with nearby facilities

The combined ticket allows one entry to each of seven facilities on purchase day and the next day, without repeat entry to the same facility. Viewing ends at 17:00. After a late arrival, start nearby and leave unvisited facilities for tomorrow. Allow return walks to the bus stop too.

Bathing is excluded. The combined ticket is for viewing hot-spring scenery. Check conditions and fares for a bath at your hotel or a separate bathing facility.

Can I walk between all seven hells?

The five Kannawa facilities are close together, but Chinoike and Tatsumaki lie about three kilometres away. For all seven, use a bus between the areas and check return services too.
