Five facilities are grouped in Kannawa. Walk between nearby hells and use a bus for Chinoike and Tatsumaki about 3 km away.

Admission
Seven-facility combined admission is JPY 2,400 for senior high school students and older and JPY 1,200 for primary and junior high school students. The ticket allows one visit to each facility on purchase day and the following day. Bathing and buses are excluded.
Opening hours
All seven open 08:00–17:00 and are listed as year-round. Official guidance does not list a separate last admission, so arrive with time to finish before closing.

Hot-spring scenery at each facility
Explore each facility's hot-spring activity. The combined ticket covers viewing. For bathing, use accommodation baths or a separate bathhouse.
Kannawa's five hells and the distant two
In Kannawa, visit Umi, Oniishibozu, Kamado, Oniyama and Shiraike hells. Chinoike and Tatsumaki lie about 3 km away. For both groups on one day, allow bus journeys and walks between facilities.
How to get to Beppu Jigoku Meguri
Take route 5 towards Kannawa from Beppu Station west-side stand 3. Alight at Umi Jigoku-mae or Kannawa and walk between the five nearby facilities. Arrange separate travel to Chinoike and Tatsumaki about 3 km away.
Before you visit
Nearby facilities first after a late arrival
The combined ticket permits one visit to each of seven facilities on purchase day and the following day, without re-entry to the same facility. Viewing ends at 17:00. For a late arrival, start nearby and leave unvisited hells for tomorrow. Allow time to reach the bus stop afterwards.
Questions about Beppu Jigoku Meguri
Can I bathe with the hells combined ticket?
Bathing is excluded. The combined ticket covers hot-spring scenery. Check conditions and fees at your accommodation or a separate bathhouse for bathing.
Can I walk around all seven facilities?
Kannawa's five are close together, but Chinoike and Tatsumaki lie about 3 km away. Use a bus between areas for all seven and check the return bus.
