Admission
The basic sand-bath set costs 1,500 yen for junior-high students and older or 800 yen for primary-school children and younger. It includes sand bathing, hot springs and a rental yukata, with towels separate. Towel sets cost 1,800 yen for junior-high students and older or 1,100 yen for primary-school children and younger. Special periods may carry surcharges.

The facility opens from 08:30–21:00, with last reception at 20:00. Weekday sand-bath reception pauses 12:00–13:00.

The sand-bath set includes sand bathing, hot springs and a rental yukata. Afterwards, leave time to rest before moving to the next place.
How to get to Sand Bath Hall Saraku
Take JR’s Ibusuki-Makurazaki Line from Kagoshima-Chuo to Ibusuki Station. Saraku is about 20 minutes away on foot or five minutes by taxi. Add travel from the station to your train arrival time to check whether you can reach reception before it closes.

Fit train arrivals around sand-bath reception
Saraku is about 20 minutes from Ibusuki Station on foot. Weekday sand-bath reception pauses 12:00–13:00, so allow the walk after your train arrival when timing the visit. For your return, leave time for changing, bathing, rest and getting back to the station.

2026 maintenance and temporary closures
Maintenance closures are 6–10 July and 14–18 December 2026. Bad weather or equipment failures may cause temporary closures too. Check operating notices before visiting.
