The basic sand-bathing package costs ¥1,500 for junior high school students and older and ¥800 for elementary-school children and younger. It includes sand bathing, hot spring use, and a rental yukata; towels are separate. Towel packages cost ¥1,800 for junior high school students and older and ¥1,100 for elementary-school children and younger. Special-period surcharges may apply.
Opening hours
Saraku opens 8:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m., with reception until 8:00 p.m. Weekday sand-bath reception pauses noon–1:00 p.m.

How to get to Natural Sand Bath Center 'Saraku' · 砂むし会館 砂楽
From Kagoshima-Chuo Station, take the JR Ibusuki-Makurazaki Line to Ibusuki Station. Saraku is about 20 minutes on foot or about 5 minutes by taxi from the station. Add station-to-facility travel to your train arrival to check whether you can reach reception before it closes.

2026 maintenance dates and temporary closures
Maintenance closures are July 6–10 and December 14–18, 2026. Bad weather or equipment failure can also cause temporary closures, so check operating notices before visiting.
