Opening hours and closed days

The planned 2026 Alpine Route season is 15 April–30 November. This is mountain transport operation rather than opening hours for the Murodo area; this route cannot be used unchanged outside that period. Timetables differ by season and weekdays or weekends; weather, safety or crowds may suspend or alter services. Check outward and final return connections for your date. Before you visit

Check your reserved departure station

For WEB tickets, register as a member, then choose date, section, one-way or return and departure time. Toyama-side bookings specify departure from Tateyama Station. Do not confuse this with the local train at Dentetsu-Toyama. In busy periods, guidance says to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure and collect tickets at least 15 minutes before.

Choose return connections through to Toyama first

Return to Murodo Terminal before your highland bus. Change between bus and cable car down to Tateyama, then take the Dentetsu-Toyama-bound local train. The last service down the mountain alone is insufficient; check its connection through to the local railway. November’s last mountain connections are earlier.

Check ticket sales for your date

WEB ticket sales periods, deadlines and reservable departures differ by season and product. Choose your date and Tateyama departure section, then check sales and available seats. For dates without sales, read the same-day ticket guide.
