Toyota’s official rates distinguish 6-, 12- and 24-hour rentals, subsequent 24-hour periods and overtime. Prices vary by vehicle, region and rental period; one night does not automatically equal 24 hours. The company is included as an option to check, without confirmed vehicle availability or a price for this itinerary. Without a car, compare the station-based one-night itinerary A. To visit both Udo and Obi by public transport over two days, first check your date’s bus connections and Udo’s walking detour.
Day 2
- Nichinan hotel → Udo visitor car park
Leave your hotel and drive to Udo Shrine. The latest official access guidance says road collapse prevents access to car parks 1 and 2 and directs visitors to the visitor car park, about 20 minutes from the main sanctuary. Before departure, check the latest reopening or change notices and follow that parking guidance.

Udo’s operator gives about 60 minutes from Miyazaki city via National Route 220 or 20 minutes from Nichinan city. These are not exact times from your hotel to the visitor car park or from the shrine to your return branch. Work back from departure formalities to allow walking back to the car park, worship, driving, refuelling and car return. Do not prolong the final shrine visit based only on normal 06:00–18:00 opening. Choose a flight only after checking current roads, the actual return branch and departure time.
Toyota supplies cars with a full tank. If you do not refuel before return, fuel is charged under its rules. Follow your booked operator’s fuel and return conditions, and check same-branch return and overtime charges in the quote.
Included items: General worship at Udo and outdoor Obi walks are free. Optional Obi History Museum adult admission is ¥300, or choose the ¥800 combined ticket.
Extra costs and conditions: Budget car rental from collection on day 1 to return on day 2, fuel and charges for the car parks you use. Hotels, meals and departure transport cost extra; add tolls if choosing toll roads.
Even with free outdoor visits, itinerary B requires a rental car over two days and fuel. Obi Castle visitor car park is free for ordinary passenger cars. Check Udo visitor parking and hotel parking charges with those facilities separately. Get an official quote using collection and return dates and times, vehicle type, insurance, extras and return branch. Add tolls if you use toll roads.
