What to see at Fushimi Inari Taisha
Senbon Torii after the main shrine
After worship at the main shrine, walk the red Senbon Torii path. You can explore this area and return without climbing to Mount Inari's summit.
How to get to Fushimi Inari Taisha
From Kyoto Station, take a JR Nara Line train stopping at Inari. The shrine is directly in front of the station. Official guidance lists Inari as the second station from Kyoto, with about five minutes on the train. Waiting, travel from your hotel to Kyoto Station, and the walk to the main shrine are extra. Keihan Fushimi-inari is a different station.

Do not block other visitors while taking photos along the torii path. Follow on-site guidance and avoid photography in prohibited areas.
The shrine parking lot closes over New Year
The grounds' parking lot closes December 29–January 6. This is a parking closure, not a suspension of shrine worship.
