Day 1 · Tokushima city

Stay two nights near Tokushima Station and rent a car only for the second-day Wakimachi trip. Choose a pickup and return location near your lodging and check return deadlines and refueling conditions. Rental, insurance, fuel, and tolls are separate from the facility subtotal.

Ai Land Udatsu’s visitor facilities are open 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and close December 27–January 1; these hours do not apply to every street shop.

Before you go: practical checks and FAQs

Will a morning bus let me see whirlpools?

A morning arrival alone does not ensure whirlpools. Use your date’s tide table to choose a suitable viewing time, then select both the outbound bus and park departure from the operator’s timetable. Check that you can arrive before Uzu no Michi’s admission cutoff.

Does the Wakimachi facility cost include the rental car?

No. The 2-night B subtotal of ¥2,800 covers the daytime show and optional Bizan round trip. Without Bizan it is ¥1,300; rental, insurance, fuel, tolls, and parking cost extra. Add ¥510 per adult for the Yoshida Residence interior.
