How to get to Yamanaka Onsen
Take an IR Ishikawa Railway ordinary train from Kanazawa to Kagaonsen Station. Change at stand 2 to a bus towards Yamanaka Onsen. Check the fare, service and nearest stop to your hotel for your travel date.

Regular adult IR ordinary-train fares between Kanazawa and Kagaonsen are JPY 880 one way or JPY 1,760 return. Shinkansen and onsen bus fares are excluded. IR's official fare table was revised on 14 March 2026; it states that fares were unchanged apart from the addition of Shikibu Station.

If staying at Ohanami Kyubei and using its booked free shuttle, go to the hotel's pick-up area at Kagaonsen Station's south exit. It is separate from local-bus stand 2. The shuttle journey is listed as about 25 minutes. Choose a service from the official access guide that connects with your train. For a local bus, budget the fare and allow for the walk from the stop to your hotel separately.

Before you visit
Book your hotel shuttle ahead
Ohanami Kyubei's free shuttle requires booking by the day before and does not run without bookings. Return services can be requested from check-in until breakfast the next morning. For two nights, ask the hotel about your actual check-out date's return service and booking deadline. Check other hotels' shuttle availability and conditions directly with them.

Coordinate check-in and meals
Ohanami Kyubei has check-in at 3 pm and check-out at 11 am. Rooms and meals depend on your booked plan; arrange meal times with the hotel at check-in. Accommodation and meals are separate from transport and admission costs.
