How to get to Yamanaka Onsen · 山中温泉
Take an IR Ishikawa Railway local train from Kanazawa to Kagaonsen Station. At station bus stop 2, change to a bus bound for Yamanaka Onsen. Check fares, departures, and the stop nearest your inn for your travel date.

The regular adult fare on an IR local train between Kanazawa and Kagaonsen Station is ¥880 one way or ¥1,760 round trip. This excludes Shinkansen fares and the bus to Yamanaka Onsen. The official IR regular-fare table was revised on March 14, 2026, and states that fares were unchanged apart from the addition of Shikibu Station.

If you are staying at Ohanami Kyubei and have reserved its free shuttle, go to the inn’s pickup point at Kagaonsen Station’s South Exit. It is separate from local-bus stop 2. The published shuttle travel time is about 25 minutes. Use the official access guide to choose and reserve a departure that fits your train arrival. If you take a local bus, allow separately for the bus fare and the walk from your stop to the inn.

Reserve the inn’s shuttle separately
Ohanami Kyubei’s free shuttle requires a reservation by the day before; it does not run without reservations. You can request the return trip from check-in until breakfast the following morning. For a two-night stay, ask the inn to confirm the departure and booking deadline for your actual checkout date. Other inns have their own shuttle availability and reservation conditions.

Allow time for check-in and meals
At Ohanami Kyubei, check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and checkout is at 11:00 a.m. Rooms and meals depend on the package you book; meal times are arranged with the inn at check-in. Accommodation and meals are separate from transportation and admission costs.
