How to get to Yamanaka Onsen

Take an IR Ishikawa Railway local train from Kanazawa to Kagaonsen Station. Change to a Yamanaka Onsen-bound bus at stand 2. Check travel-date fares, services and the stop nearest your hotel.

General adult IR local fares are JPY 880 one way or JPY 1,760 return between Kanazawa and Kagaonsen. Shinkansen and hot spring bus fares are excluded. IR’s official ordinary fare table was revised on 14 March 2026; it states there were no fare changes apart from adding Shikibu Station.

For Ohanami Kyubei’s reserved free transfer, use the hotel boarding area outside Kagaonsen Station’s south exit, separate from scheduled bus stand 2. The listed journey time is about 25 minutes. Choose and reserve a transfer in the official access guide that fits train arrival. Scheduled buses need separate fares and walking time from the stop to your hotel.

Before you visit

Reserve Ohanami Kyubei’s free transfer by the previous day; it does not run without reservations. Request the return from check-in until breakfast the next morning.
