At Naiku in Ise Jingu, cross Uji Bridge and follow the wooded approach to the main sanctuary. Walk at your own pace after the bridge to explore the shrine.

Visitor information
Admission
Ordinary shrine visits are free. Prayer services, shrine items and museum admission are additional. Adult buses between Iseshi Station-front and Naiku-mae cost JPY 520 one way, or JPY 1,040 return, separately from shrine admission. These fares come from the existing material’s 8 October 2026 search.
Opening hours
Visiting hours are 5 am–6 pm January–April and September, 5 am–7 pm May–August, and 5 am–5 pm October–December. New Year visiting hours may differ.

Cross Uji Bridge and follow the wooded approach to the main sanctuary, about 20 minutes one way. Allow separate time for your visit and return walk.

How to get to Naiku (Kotaijingu)
Take a Naiku-mae-bound route 51 or 55 bus from Iseshi Station-front stand 10 and leave at Naiku-mae. Walk about 20 minutes one way from Uji Bridge to the main sanctuary. Visiting, returning and bus waiting take extra time. For the return, check an Iseshi-bound service from Naiku-mae stand 2.

Event-day access and the return bus
Events may restrict parts of the approach; follow local guidance. Searching your date’s return bus in advance helps you choose when to leave for the station after visiting.

Are Geku and Naiku close enough to visit together on foot?
They are separate areas, so we suggest travelling between them by bus. Allow bus waiting, the Naiku visit and return travel.
