How to get to Miyazaki Prefectural Museum of Nature and History
Leave Miyazaki-Jingu Station and enter through the shrine torii across the intersection in front. Walk through the grounds to the museum, about 11 minutes. By bus, use Miyazaki Station's west-side stand 2 for services towards Koga Hospital, Kunitomi or Shusen-no-Mori, alight at the museum stop and walk about 3 minutes. Frequency and fares for this bus were not confirmed in the existing material. For driving, check the operator's guidance for Yanosaki intersection and the west gate. Continue through the west gate to car park 1 in front of the main building. Walking from the station differs from walking from parking to the main building.

Before you visit
New Year and maintenance closures
The museum closes from 28 December 2026 to 4 January 2027 for New Year, and from 26 January to 2 February 2027 for facility maintenance. Other closures may occur for collection work, fumigation or maintenance, so check the official calendar. On departure day, allow time after the museum to return your car or reach the station or airport.
