Two nights: a city base or a coastal stay?

Stay two nights near Miyazaki Station for a day each at the shrine, Aoshima and museum. For a seaside stay with driving visits to Udo and Obi, compare two nights in Aoshima. The city-base itinerary uses JR and walking; the coastal-stay itinerary visits Horikiri Pass before car return on the final day. Check museum closures and Udo access restrictions when choosing dates.
