How to get to Shiroyama Observatory

Take City View from east stand 4 at Kagoshima-Chuo Station and get off at Shiroyama. Follow signs on foot to the observatory. For the nature trail, choose among entrances such as Tanshoen near Terukuni Shrine or Iwasakidani near the Satsuma Gishihi monument. The full trail is about 2 km.

Planning a nature-trail walk

The full nature trail is about 2 km. This is a different route from visiting only the observatory from the City View stop; use on-site signs to choose your entrance and walk.
